Coordinates the election of County Cluster Delegates to the NEA/RA and to determine cost of funding said delegates for locals and County.

  • In the absence of the president, perform all the duties and enjoy all the privileges to the office of president.
  • Sets up County workshops for the year (place, date, topic).
  • Organizes the Spring Awards and Retirement Dinner with the Second Vice President.
  • Notifies members of above scheduled events.
  • Promotes all CCCEA social activities relating to State and Federal legislators and/or legislation as directed by the Executive Committee.
  • Organizes County sponsored functions at the NJEA Convention (Hospitality Suite).
  • Assists the Representative Council Legislative Chairperson in organizing the Legislative Dinner (date, place and cost).

Cumberland Regional High School
  • Notifies officers, committees and others of meetings.
  • Certifies with the County president the names of all persons chosen to serve as delegates from the County affiliate to annual meetings including the NEA Convention.
  • Sends out notices of affiliate meetings to officers and Council members.
  • Carries on the correspondence of the affiliate, that is, correspondence which is not a function proper to other officers.
  • Informs each chairperson of each committee of his appointment and responsibilities to be carried out in the course of the year.
  • Keeps the affiliate’s membership list.
  • Accurately reflects action in the meeting by getting to the heart of each pertinent discussion.
  • Keeps a permanent minute book and makes the minutes and records available to members upon request.
  • Keeps record of the affiliate treasurer’s reports and an up-to-date copy of the constitution and bylaws.
  • Keeps copies of all committee and miscellaneous reports.
  • Presides over meetings in the absence of the president and vice-presidents, and continues to serve until those present have named a chairperson pro tem.

  • Receives all the income of the county affiliate and banks all funds to the credit of the affiliate.
  • Maintains records and files reports needed to maintain appropriate status of incorporation and Internal Revenue Service.
  • Prepares an annual report for the affiliate and presents for audit all necessary records.
  • Assists the other officers in preparing the budget for the coming year.
  • Works with the Membership Committee and to recruit and maintain membership.
  • The NJEA Executive Committee includes the three officers, plus one or more representatives elected from each county or equivalent unit of representation, based on membership. County and unit representatives serve for three-year terms, except as necessary to stagger terms of office. The committee meets monthly to conduct Association business.
